Suzanne Roy, of Winchendon, a Certified Obedience Trainer is among the volunteers with Ahimsa Haven. Suzanne works with the shelter dogs from the time they first arrive under the care of Ahimsa Haven, right on through to when the dog either goes to foster care, or a forever home. Suzanne focuses on Basic Obedience, giving the shelter dogs the leadership they need, in order to thrive in a new home. Upon fostering or adopting a dog, continued training is available to the dog and owner(s). Suzanne will make a house visit, if necessary, to make sure both the dog and the owner(s) have proper training. One of Ahimsa Haven’s main goals is to ensure the transition to a new home is positive, for both the dog and the owner(s).
